Staff Press Release

FC Alliance North is thrilled to introduce its initial leadership staff for Northeast Tennessee. These four individuals, driven by their passion and dedication, will spearhead the growth of players associated with FC Alliance. They are poised to take on the responsibility of implementing the initial programs the club plans to promote, instilling a sense of excitement and confidence in the future of our club.

Chad Stocton will serve as Director of Operations for FC Alliance North. He is a native of Johnson City and is excited about the opportunity to bring the quality of an FC Alliance program back to his hometown. Stocton has served in many capacities for FC Alliance in Knoxville over the years including leading the boys ECNL program while also directing college recruitment efforts for boys. Most recently he has been involved at several administrative levels of the club while also coaching ECNL teams and leading the VESL league, which in three seasons has tripled in size and now counts over 150 teams participating in the league. Stocton has placed over 90 players on collegiate rosters throughout his coaching career and has players now on rosters at all levels of college soccer.

Matt Yelton will continue to direct soccer at the Bristol Sportsplex. He will also coordinate with Stocton on programs, lead coaching training, and establish training and game opportunities for players for all of FC Alliance North. Yelton has worked at multiple levels of college and club soccer. He was involved in youth soccer in Chattanooga and was the Executive Director at Chattanooga FC, his last role saw him serve as a Vice President for the USL Professional team Chattanooga Red Wolves, where his duties included overseeing the team’s youth academy. He also has over 20 years of experience as a college coach, winning championships at multiple levels of college soccer. Yelton, also is a native of Northeast Tennessee and, like Stocton, is looking forward to growing the reach of soccer in our area.

Pamela Penaloza Wilson will serve as the club’s Director of Marketing and be the lead coach for U9-U12 teams in Bristol. Wilson is a native of Bogota, Colombia. As a former D1 student soccer athlete, Pam’s illustrious journey includes representing Colombia’s U17 and U20 national teams and making a mark in the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. Her dedication and prowess were evident in her college soccer tenure at both Austin Peay and ETSU. Transitioning from the field, Pam’s coaching career spans 7 years, where she has trained both boys and girls, ranging from as young as 5-year-olds to high schoolers. A testament to her coaching excellence is the district championship she clinched with the University School for both the boys’ and girls’ teams, especially notable since she pioneered the position there. She boasts an academic background with a bachelor’s in Computer Science and Information Systems from Austin Peay and a master’s in Brand and Media Strategy from ETSU.

Jinny Baker will serve as Competitive Program Administrator. Baker is regarded as one of the finest club administrators in the state, and we are thrilled that she has chosen to join FC Alliance North in this role. Those familiar with soccer in the area know the qualities Baker will bring to the role. She will work hand in hand with other members of the club’s leadership to develop the vision and path to growth for the club. She will also coordinate with team managers to provide a quality experience to club members while overseeing the organization’s uniform and field scheduling process. Finally, Baker will serve as FC Alliance’s registrar.
